About McLeod marine

Founded as McLeod Engineering in 1976, McLeod Marine has been servicing the marine industry in Cairns and Far North Queensland for almost 50 years.

In 2012, ownership transitioned to long-term employees Dan McLeod and Dennis Bissett, continuing the company’s strong tradition of experience, reliability and quality workmanship.

Dan, a qualified Marine Driveline & Stability Specialist, began his apprenticeship with the business in 1993 and brings decades of local and international marine industry experience. Dennis, with 17 years at MTU Detroit Diesel prior to joining the company in 2003, remains a valued source of knowledge and support in retirement.

Today, McLeod Marine is backed by a skilled team of qualified Marine Diesel Specialists (that undertake 300 hrs of training each year per employee across all our brands) apprentices, and experienced parts, service and administration staff — delivering trusted marine solutions across the region.
