| From Humble Beginnings...
Bill McLeod founded McLeod Engineering in 1976. With Bill's
extensive knowledge and experience of marine vessels and
their associated components, coupled with a total commitment
to quality and service, McLeod Engineering’s reputation
was founded.
Knowing that the business was fast expanding, it wasn't
long before extra staff were needed to keep up with the demand.
Bill recruited more qualified and experienced diesel
fitters who were to form the pillars
of what is McLeod Engineering today. The first marine
diesel mechanic was George Zerafa who is still with McLeod Engineering
today.
As part of his commitment to the community many young people
have undergone their apprenticeships with McLeod Engineering
further strengthening the business for future years whilst
ensuring the high standards of workmanship are continued.
McLeod Engineering have been servicing the marine industry
for more than 27 years and has a wealth of experience & intimate
knowledge of most vessels we maintain. McLeod Engineering
remains a locally owned family business and employs 10 people.
